Dr Tom Johnson provides an introduction to the course with the aims and the objectives. A background to OFDI is provided with a ESC guideline overview for imaging. Who currently uses OFDI and a look at the current BCIS data for OFDI/OCT vs IVUS. He looks at when and where to use OFDI imagining in the cath lab i.e. pre, peri & post intervention. Plaque characterisation with OFDI and what can be seen using this image modality .A look at PCI planning with OFDI and the advantages of co - registration. Also there is an overview of current clinical data including OPINION, ILUMIEN, CLI OPCI & CLI OPCI II. Finally there is an overview for the clinical indications for use.
This imaging workshop is targeted at interventional cardiologists and also at other cardiologists wishing to update their scientific knowledge on the topic.
